The Marais Poitevin is a natural reserve of wetlands in the southwest of France, and is also the venue for a large annual Plein Air fainting festival in the picturesque little village of Magne. This is a scene painted on location on the Sevre Niortais. I find that working with water scenes quite relaxing and enjoyable, and sometimes you mange to 'get in the flow' a bit easier than others...
