This is a spaecially requested ink drawing with 24kt gold leaf detail effect based on the historical figure of Mansa Musa. Mansa Musa was an African king that was notoriously the richest man in the world during his life in the middle ages. He made a pilgrimage with a massive entourage to Egypt and during that time he saw many ideas which he brought back to his own kingdom of what is modern day Mali. He built palaces and universities and wanted his people to be educated. Some of these buildings still stand today in Timbuktu. I tried to depict some of these elements in different areas in the drawing.
