Original artwork description:

Manomaya- Encompassing the processing of thoughts & Emotions.

A rich layered painting of an Autumnal garden meadow, full of glowing warm colours. It brings a sense of calm & comfort to a room.

Over the two weeks of painting night & day, I was deeply immersed in thoughts of how what we think affects our well being. As part of my journey to spiritual growth I remembered how much emotions, judgements & thoughts create the energy in & around us. We can choose to be aware of this & to change how we let our thoughts influence us. We also have the choice to change how we react to things & not allow the past to influence how we react now.
As women, we are so integrally linked to Nature, it's cycles, it's seasons. We move with the rhythm of Nature. When our children grow & become adults, fly the nest & start to live their own lives., we may feel a sense of loss. While immersed in doing everything for the good & growth of my son, I forgot to look after myself & my development. It was only recently, when he started Uni that I started to be aware that I often went back to old habits because I wasn't paying attention.
The ebb & flow of how we feel changes as we age & this time when our space goes back to being our own can leave a void. But it is part of Nature & rather than seeing a lack, we can choose to see opportunity to nurture ourselves. Our young will always be there for us, because we nurtured & love them, it is a change , not a loss. Like the falling leaves of Autumn we can leave behind the things which hold us back & find a new season for ourselves. We can fill it with beautiful things which feed our mind & soul.
The warm tones of Autumn can wrap us in comfort & sow the seeds to new & exciting things ahead.
