this painting retraces an old painting of mine done at the beginning of the year, but this face I used spray colors entirely

My painting captures the Manhattanhenge, also called the Manhattan Solstice. This is when the setting sun or the rising sun is aligned with the east–west streets of the main street grid of Manhattan, New York City. The sunsets and sunrises each align twice a year, on dates evenly spaced around the summer solstice and winter solstice. The light at sunset and the people going down the streets is captured in my painting.
