Fun colorful and whimsical expressive abstract with layer upon layer of paint and mark making. It was done with acrylic on a thin wood panel.

I name my pieces by what occurred while painting the piece: what moved me, what struggles had to be overcome, my mood, my train of thought, what the piece reminded me of, sometimes a song that was on and the beat moved me or the lyrics influenced me in some way. I never intentionally start out a painting saying “I’m going to do this, or I’m going to do that”. All of my pieces morph into something that is totally surprising and unexpected.
