Although this painting has a touch of glamour, it was actually an experiment in the excitement of bringing an imaginative vision to life and bringing it to canvas. Painting a featureless mannequin creates the effect of Universal Anonymity: By eliminating a person's facial features in a painting, it allows me to create a figure that is universal and abstract. This may allow viewers to more easily identify with the figure as it is not associated with any particular person.
