I chose to paint for the depth and perspective of the street, and just loved crowds of people. People in all shapes walking around in different directions through cobble stone paths between bright colored buildings in pinks, yellow and green with black metal balconies lining the walls. The boats lining the sidewalks reminds me of the rarity of this habit found in Italy. This was completed with the help of a few photographs I took combined together. As part of the Village Series, Manarola was painted in oil on 48 x 48 x 1.5 gallery wrapped canvas. Manarola is in Cinque Terre Italy, a charming village on the Riviera.
