***Conceptual info***

This piece is a representation of middle age occult theology as well as esoteric Jewish Kabbalah teachings. The figure is seen holding an inverted tree, often known as the the Sephirot tree or "tree of life". It is known in Christian, Jewish, and occult philosophies as a map to god. Mankind is thought to represent a tree because his roots are up high in the spiritual realm and his leaves and fruit are in the lower physical realm, therefore the tree is always represent as inverted. The man holds this tree and lamp in a sparse landscape while the sun sets, with only these tools to guide his path. The figure is surrounded by the twelve signs of the zodiac (in the little blue ovals) and two symbolic representations of the sun and moon (the little circles on each side). The grey crystalline surface surrounding the zodiacal oval represents the endless depths of space. This deep space surface is actually made out of tiny crystals adhered to the panel, which gives the area a gritty like shiny appearance, which contrasts greatly with the glossy smooth interior the figure is depicted in.

***About***
I have been a professional full time artist since 2004, have showed throughout the US and am in multiple museum collections as well as private collections throughout the world. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me, even if you just want to ask more about what a piece means or about why I create art.

***Framing***
All pieces come framed. I create the frames myself (an example of which is in the pictures). All frames are cut, joined, wood filled, sanded so there is no appearance of joining method and then painted and sealed. Ready to hang with a signature on the back of the actual piece and then one on the back of the paper that covers the frame. Some of the frames have little designs painted on, like the example I included in the pictures. The frames are float frames, meaning the piece appears to float in the frame. No part of the actual painting is covered by the frame, nor touches the frame.

***Shipping***
I use silicone based conservator paper to wrap the painting before packing up. This is a non stick paper, expensive paper, highly useful. I double box the painting, so there is no need for crating. If you do want it crated, let me know and we can work something out. Painting will arrive in great condition, I have never had a problem and I have been doing this for almost 14 years. If you have any specific shipping needs please let me know.
