This linocut reduction took months in the making and was all in all a labour of love!
My obssession with insects and their stunning patterns and colour have ended with my biggest print yet (45.5cmx 45.5cm) and with eight different layers of colour. There are only 3 of these prints in this edition run and each one is different so each print is a complete original.
In this piece I have used metallic inks in copper and gold, which give a beautiful and subtle shimmer to the overall image.
I've decided to number and sign on the back of this print as the actual image can be hung which ever way you feel is right! I have given examples With the photos taken.
Because of the nature of printing, which can get a bit messy, you may find some faint ink marks on the borders of the image.
As this is such a large print I will be posting the artwork carefully rolled in a sturdy tube to keep shipping costs to a minimum.

Materials used:

Somerset paper and oil based inks
