This print is of the Mam Tor, one of the Peak Districts more idiosyncratic spots.
This image is has been created using five individual layers of acrylic water based ink. Starting with the light blue of the sky, I followed that with a green blend - from light green at the top, to a bright green at the bottom. As this green layer was quite transparent the blue layer beneath show through in places, creating depth and detail.
The next layer to go down was the orange, which again was quite transparent. This colour was followed by the deep blue which makes up the foreground trees and the shadows on the face of the mountain.
As always, the final layer (or key layer) is the black. This print is the first where I have used a halftone dot to add shading to areas across the print.
