In this portrait of the birds I have contrasted the realism of the Mallard ducks with an abstract view of the reflections of the water one early morning as the birds were swimming on the loch near Pitlochry.
Painted in a unique textural style that leaves a textural yet flat abstract image.

Painted in a modern abstract impressionistic style with a palette knife, brushes and fingers using a unique textural technique that allows the yellow colour of the under-painting to show through the top layers.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 24" x 24" (60 x 60cm) hardboard wood panel, with a varnish finish and hand painted wooden white frame.
