'Maligne Lake, Alberta' was inspired by a visit to Jasper National Park in Canada. This is one of Jonathan's largest paintings and features misty mountains, atmospheric skies and still reflective waters.

Jonathan seeks to produce peaceful and captivating paintings that channel the atmosphere and energy in each scene. He works predominantly with oils using a refined technique that combines subtle tonal blending with expressionistic bursts of colour and texture to emulate the ethereal qualities of light.
