"Male Standing Nude" was painted from a black and white photo. One of the benefits of painting from a black and white image is that you aren't trying to match a color, but are painting for correct light/dark (value) relationships.

This is painting on Polyflax. Polyflax is a type of canvas that is not prone to moving during dry or humid conditions. Museums like this material as the paint is much less prone to cracking.

I primarily paint small, intimate works as they can be placed in any setting and are priced for affordability.

This comes unframed. One way that I often display my work is with a beautiful mat and then framed giving the piece more presence. For a more casual look I like to sit an unframed piece up on a shelf or side table.

People describe my work as calming and soothing the soul. I hope each of my pieces does that for you.

The painting will be varnished, wrapped in waxed paper, and packing material to prevent damage. I try to use recycled materials whenever possible in shipping.

Because all computer screens are calibrated differently, colors may differ on different monitors. Most paintings have much more nuanced colors in person. I want you to be totally happy with your paintings, so of course, if you aren't, you are welcome to return it.
