The commune of Malakoff is adjacent to the City of Paris on its' southern side, 5 km. from the centre. Opposite the Centenary Garden on the Rue Chauvelot stands these two conjoined blocks of residential apartments. The Embassy of Tibet occupies part of the right hand block. Malakoff is home to many bright and creative people. Sophie Calle, France's most surprising artist, lives and works there.
