Original artwork description:

This drawing explores a journey taken around the wonderful city of Malaga, a place I lived for a period of time. The image brings together various views and objects seen in and around the city, exploring how one conjures memories of being in a place.

The drawing was created in response to forming ideas that contributed to an installation and mural created at the Malaca Instituto Spanish Language School, where I was employed to interior design one of the student rooms (Room 521), over a period of three months.

This is one of a series of drawings exploring my time in Malaga and Andalucia.

Materials used:

Brush Pen, Pen and Ink on 370 GSM Canson Watercolour Paper
