Original artwork description:

I made Making Sense 1 and 2 after an intense year of work at Worcester Cathedral where I was Resident Artist in 2004 during which time I also lost my mother. Armed with excess oil paint in sepia and two good quality canvasses I worked on these as a kind of epilogue to that time and the work I made and exhibited there. If you are looking for something quite simple for a contemporary space these two hang well together (see Making Sense 2)
