Lithograph plate, based on the rowers that practice and race on the stretch of the Thames where I live.

This is the polyester litho plate from which a limited edition of 12 lithograph prints were printed, and no more are being produced from this particular image.

Once a print run is finished the plate itself is a reversed image of the prints. It often has marks and textures resulting from the printmaking process, which I particularly like as it adds the depth of the image. Polyester litho is a thin paper-like plate with a coating on one side that resembles a stone surface and can be printed from using relief ink.

This original plate comes backed onto board with a window mount ready to frame.

Please note that while I try and maintain colour accuracy when photographing work, due to different setting on your devices there may be some slight differences. There may be printmaking marks on the paper outside the image which is due to the handmade nature of printmaking. These can be hidden by use of a smaller window mount if so desired.

All artworks posted within the UK are sent by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed which (usually!) arrives the next day after dispatch before 1pm.

Artworks sent to Europe and beyond are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked, and usually arrive within a week of dispatch. The price for Global Shipping is set to cater for different sizes and weights of artworks; I always refund the customer the excess amount if the actual cost when I get to the Post Office works out cheaper. International shipments may be subject to additional import taxes, customs duties or fees imposed by the destination country, payable by the customer on receipt.
