This NEW Artwork is created on a 20 x 16 inch stretched canvas. Entitled, "Make It Rain... Oh Lord!" It is based on the concept that we can only change as a result of hard times and tragedy. If life was always perfect you would never try to change your situation or yourself to find peace and happiness. This song came to me when I was listening to the song "Make it Rain!" by Ed Sherran. The first time I heard the song was when it was sung by Koryn Hawthorne on The Voice. It rocked my Soul and it still does. The lyrics of this song herald the aforementioned concept . I purposely made the umbrella huge... much like the golf umbrella I have. This painting depicts that no matter how much protection you think you have... it's Not enough! Life has a way of bringing tribulations to you when you least expect it. The young woman in this artwork has fought the fight and realizes it is time to surrender... to Let It Go! She realizes that the giant umbrella she thought would protect her in her storm is failing. So she gently turns her umbrella upside down and lets it float away. The rain.. the storm helps turn her into a NEW HER! She prays for more... Make it Rain Oh Lord! Becoming a new person will test you to the core... to the end. Ask for HELP! We can't really do it ourselves. Jesus saves me a hundred times a day. The key is to ASK for HELP from somebody!!! This paint is sold UNFRAMED but I have a few pics attached to show how well it looks framed for your consideration.
