Make a Splash (XVI) is one of an ongoing series of original screenprints. Each print is unique inspired by the evolving relationship between gestural mark making and complex colour relationships.

Prints are created by over screenprinting layer upon layer of transparent and opaque acrylic paint through stencils created from hand drawn marks on drafting film.

While I start with a colour scheme and broad composition in mind the pieces often evolve over multiple printing sessions which is a time consuming process.

The circular print is 24cm in diameter printed on 285gsm soft white fabriano rosaspina fine art paper which is approximately 35 x 35cm. Please see photographs for close up detail.

Prints are placed on a stiff card backboard and cellophane sleeve to protect them. There are many ways you could choose to display this art work for example professionally float mounted, within a spacer frame or in a traditional card mount.

The print is initialled and titled on the front and signed in full on the reverse.
