This blue magpies and magnolia flower painting was a creation in honour of the beautiful Spring time in the style of Chinese Gongbi Painting or Sumie Brush Art. The magpies are auspicious birds in the oriental society, especially in pairs, they bring joy and great fortune. These vivid-coloured birds with the soothing magnolia blossoms, we feel a sense of peace and quiet from the bottom of our hearts, allowing us to breath more freely. Respecting the traditional law of composition, this piece sings the tranquil wonder of the Spring time, where all life come back to action, and all hopes restored. The poem (from a Song Dynasty poetry) written in the traditional cursive calligraphy style referrers to the beauty of these magnificent blue birds.
