Seeing the amazing Magnolia flowers at Stourhead last Spring.
Original decorative floral watercolour on textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200lb.
I drew the flower out with a pencil and then using my sable hair brushes to carefully place the very delicate shades. I enjoyed this process and adding the colour washes.
I used a creamy white mixed in with pink and yellow to achieve this effect of the pastel shades.
