Original artwork description:

Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee. Features a cluster of lily flowers with curling petals. The petals range from deep burgundy-magenta to magenta-pink, and are all edged with a ribbon of white. The background contains touches of lavender-purple from the garden where the lilies grow, and is painted in variegated greens. The dripping and splattering in the background was created with water-base casein paint and glazed over with oil. Painted in oil on board with both brush and palette knife. The shapes of the flower petals are enhanced by the application of thickly textured paint. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
