Original artwork description:

Extended title: “Magenta reflections on the path”

An uphill path in the middle of an olive grove. The sun, which has just risen, casts its first rays hidden in the foliage of the olive tree, which, like a prism, splits the light into many magenta refractions.
Nature is a kaleidoscope of colours.

This painting was done in the studio in September 2023. It is the result of several studies done en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on Masonite, a panel made of compressed wood fibres. Masonite is a material that was widely used by artists in the first half of the 20th century as a support for their paintings because it is extremely strong and crushproof. I love painting on this material because its very smooth surface allows me to achieve effects that cannot be achieved on other materials. I also have the guarantee of high durability.
The signature is on the bottom right.
The painting is protected by a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work comes with a thin wooden frame in natural colour to protect the edges. It is ready to hang.
The work is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
"Magenta reflections on the path” is a literal translation of the original Italian title "Rifrazioni magenta sul sentiero".

Materials used:

Oil on Masonite
