Original encaustic artwork. 50x30 cm MDF board.
Medium: acrylic, oil pastel, oil, wax.
The multiple layers of wax, oils and oil pastels create depth and subtle colour vibrations. The painting is very textured some of the elements are literally scrapped off the surface. And the best news is you don't even need to frame it under glass and it's safe to touch! So for all of the texture lovers such as myself it's a big bonus :)
Wax is a unique medium that has a beautiful satin finish, is resistant to water and is very easy to sustain. Keep it away from heat and fire - wax melts at 170 degrees C (338F), don't put any pressure to the surface to not damage it.
Signed on the front and back.
The painting is sold unframed but the rim on the back makes it easy to hang without any frame.
Shipped in a cardboard box.
