The image of the bacchante inspired by the Greek mythology epitomizes feminine beauty, youth and delicacy. The figure is an allegory of dance and erotica. The sculpture depicts a young woman in the whirlwind of dance, standing on one of her toes, raising her head playfully and her arms are up in the air. The athletic and firm shape of the body is made with a bronze cast polished with precision. The patina is classical velvet. A small vine with grapes symbolizing fertility and wine, is placed at the feet of the figure. The sculpture sits on a marble pedestal.
