Madame is a tantalising and warm lady who offers comfort and compliments in abundance in her small apartment in the 7th arrondisment. Maybe Madame lives a little in the past but there are still moments worth being alive for. She dreams of days spent in smoke filled rooms, silk and taffeta swirling on the dance floors and oysters fed by the hand of a mysterious monsieur. She spends most of her days dreaming on her bed accompanied by her old cat who maybe sneers at her decline but is company never the less. Despite the now a days irregular visits she takes pride in keeping her "areas" neatly trimmed and nails immaculately lacquered. One never knows, one day a respectable member of the aristocracy could knock on her door and whisk her away to his luscious chateau out Versailles way.

This is a collage made on heavy card. Madame is made of voluptuous (like her self) textile. The details are paper and drawing.

The collage is signed on the front and madams story is written on the back.
