Painted on site at Lake Ohau in the McKenzie basin cold misty day but still had a beauty about the place with the pale subtle colours. Painted in the car which I managed to run the battery flat and was so lucky there was a slight downhill decline as was out of cell phone range and over two two hour walk back to Twizel.
