Original artwork description:

"Lyon at sunrise" is an original palette knife oil painting on canvas, 18x18cm / 7x7inches, realized in the impasto technique. The painting is realized on linen, bonded on wood panel and framed with mat board. The dimensions of the painting including the mat board are 27x27 cm / 11x11 inches.

I was inspired to paint this contemporary modern impressionist painting while I was walking in the Chartreux Garden, an amazing spot with a breathtaking view over the beautiful city of Lyon.

This is a palette knife painting. No brush was used to create the work. I only used different types of palette knives to apply thick oil color paint.
