Original artwork description:

Some 18 months ago we moved to Lymington quite near the station. This painting depicts the station early in the age of steam. The station then, like now is always busy and provides a wonderful 10 minutes link with the Main line railway services to Winchester and London from Brockenhurst. The primary function of the line is to connect the Isle of Wight Ferry with Brockenhurst, The half hour service is one of the reasons we moved to our new house.
