In 2018 I had a client with offices in Luxembourg and London. In addition to photographs of London they wanted local photographs of Luxembourg. With this in mind, I photographed Luxembourg City in anticipation of the opening of their new offices. I photographed this view in November, however, when the artwork was required for the offices in July the following year, I inspected the image for printing at 200cm, but I was unhappy with printing it due to a little softness in a small part of the image (the Casemates du Bock). As a perfectionist, I decided to re-photograph the image at the end of June, but I had limited time. Last minute flights to Luxembourg are not cheap and so I booked a ferry for the next day and drove to Luxembourg. After a 12-hour journey, I arrived ten minutes before midnight and set up my tripod to take a four-minute exposure. To my horror the purple lights of the Casemates switched off at midnight and so I checked my camera to ensure I had captured it better this time and to my relief I had! It was a rewarding trip and I shall always remember the story which accompanies this photograph.

This piece of art is a limited edition of 5. This number is the total that will be printed of this photograph. The size and medium will be the same for the whole print run.

The diasec medium is an established and patented process to face-mount photographs. The front of a C Type photograph is bonded directly to Perspex and then reinforced with a sheet of aluminium (i.e. the photograph is sandwiched between the clear Perspex and an aluminium sheet). An aluminium subframe is then attached to the back of the panel which can then be hung on the wall using a supplied rail. The artwork will appear to ‘float’ off the wall. The result is a clearer and sharper image with an almost HD quality.

It is not possible to sign the front of the artwork directly since there is no border. A sticker will be attached to the rear and certificate of authenticity sent separately.

Delivery is listed for UK, however, artwork can be arranged for worldwide delivery. Depending on the destination, any applicable import taxes can be paid prior to export or on import. I have previously sent art to Europe, Asia and the US.
