Scandinavian mythology and particularly álfar - magical spirits of several worlds, a source for all the fantasy about elves inspired me for this painting. There are a lot of fairy tales: they dwell in rocks, they keep secrets of treasure location, they talk to trees… But there is one saying that being much closer to nature, a part of their magic and artifacts helps them to see deep into the roots of things and creatures, even understand and reach for good but hidden parts of human's soul.
Painting is made on stretched cotton canvas with a palette knife. No need to frame since edges are painted. D-rings attached on the back, ready to hang. Covered with dammar varnish to preserve color and protect from dust and moisture.
Width: 75 cm (29 inches)
Height: 50 cm (19 inches)
Depth: 1.5 cm (0.6 inches)
EU made stretched canvas, high quality oil paint
