This bright and vibrant piece captures the power of the sunlight - The sunrays, almost forming a mirage effect in the turquoise and cerulean sky. To me, this piece holds quite a spiritual feel.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the sky - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
The layers in this piece are developed by forming texture through layering and blending the oil paint, building depth and highlights.
