Original artwork description:

Tyrol, Austria, is a touristy place but you can still find peace and quiet if you get off the beaten track, These are the places where I can immerse myself in nature, letting the scene and atmosphere pass though me so that I can process them emotionally. As an artist, one is spoilt for choice of motifs here in Lüsens Valley but it was the Lüsnerer Fernerkogel – the so-called “Tyrolean Matterhorn” - at the end of the valley that inspired my greatest awe and challenged me to capture it and the whole surrounding scene in watercolour. Quite an undertaking I admit!

“Lüsener Fernerkogel” was painted on 300g grain rough Arches watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes with a warm white mount to fit a standard frame size of 50cm x 70cm and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. If you like this painting, you might want to take a look at the rest of my series of Tyrol paintings too.
