Original artwork description:

This image is taken of purple lupins, Lupinus 'Persian Slipper', from the artist's garden. Lupins are amongst my favourite garden flowers, and we had a vibrant border filled with them for many years. I love to watch the bees collecting pollen from them.

Materials used:

Canvas stretched over a wooden strainer, water-based primer, oil paints and a museum-grade varnish.
