This original gneiss sculpture on stainless steel stand is one of the latest artworks of the talented Bulgarian contemporary professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov. In creating this sculpture, he sought to explore the interplay of presence and absence, solidity and void. The irregular outline and assorted voids invite curiosity about what is seen and unseen, drawing parallels to the mysteries of nature and the cosmos. Carved in gneiss stone, its earthy textures and tones ground it, while the circular voids suggest continuity, a reminder of life's perpetual cycle and interconnectedness.
