Artwork description:

This is a monotype print of the artist Lucian Freud inspired by one of his self portrait paintings transfigured through the monotype plate process. The image was created through a process of monoprinting and layering the colour plates on top on one another to form the monotype print.

Each plate uses the colours of red, yellow, blue to form the finished print. This is a process of printing I have developed through research over the last two years and creates an interesting aesthetic of image printing.
