Original painting by Alan Harris, contemporary British artist,
Acrylic on paper 16x11"
St. Mary's Island is a small sandstone island near the seaside resort of Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, England. It is a Local Nature Reserve. St Mary's island, so called because it is an island at high tide, is reached by walking across a causeway at low tide. The main feature of the island is St. Mary's Lighthouse which was built in 1898. This is a great view of this beautiful place in North East England
Alan Harris works with a variety of mediums and subjects, oils, watercolours, pastels, mixed media, and sculptures.
Some comments on Alan's work:
"There is something about viewing Alan's painting, that has a peaceful, calm, force about it. It slows the senses, so the dreams that come will hold our ability to drift off into that peacefulness!!"
Acrylic, Oil, yeso, varnish
