Low Tide In The Bay
Watercolor on paper

I love the mood of this painting.
It is low tide in the back bay, sheltered by barrier islands from the Gulf of Mexico. Almost sunset, facing east, where the sky takes on a pale yellowish tone, giving a golden cast to the light. Egrets feed on the muddy ground that emerges as the water pulls back. A sailboat comes back in to dock.

I had this small watercolor matted by a gallery. The image size is 5 x 8 inches, with a three inch mat and foam core backing. I'm throwing the mat and backing in for free, just because it really shows the painting off well :-) The outside dimensions of the mat are 10.75 x 13.75 inches and it's all acid free.
