This painting has been created following my trip to Devon in Summer 2014. We were rock pooling and on a way back walked past this place. I loved the rich and exuberant green colour of sea grass, exposed in a low tide, which contrasted with dark rocks, grey sky and dull sea, reflecting the light of quite a grim day, which together with the row of wooden poles made the place feel desolate.
