Original artwork description:

I painted this piece to reflect the greenery and the life forces that exist within the Amazon Jungle. I have always felt close to nature, and live in the natural beauty of a forest, myself. I cannot conceive of the destruction that is occurring south of the equator, where fires are devastating vast regions of the Brazilian Amazon. This tragedy breaks my heart, as I imagine the indigenous people and the animals that are being displaced and/or dying tragic deaths. We have to do what we can to put out the blaze, right now.
