Original artwork description:

Series Atlantic crossing, painted on a part of the sail which brought my family and me on our sailboat from Europe to the Pacific, so this painting is very special. A work with corners, folds and edges, absolutely authentic with history. This sail sailed 30.000 nm/55.000 km.

If you have ever dreamed of living on a boat and sailing around the world: here is the perfect reminder to live this dream one day.

Atlantic crossing - set of 5
5 x 50 x 100 cm - over all 100 x 250 cm - frames not included
Acrylics/mixed media on used sailcloth/texture

Artwork needs to be framed like examples - frames not included.

A happy memory of crossing the Atlantic ocean with our sailing boat. It took us 16 days from Canary Islands to Martinique in the Carribean.

„As the viewer gazes at the artwork, they can't help but be transported into the artist's world, sailing across the ocean for seven years. The artwork captures the essence of the sea and sailing, evoking a sense of freedom and adventure.
This series is a stunning visual representation of the artist's journey, showcasing her deep connection with the sea and the vastness of the world. It is a powerful reminder of the beauty that can be found in nature and the importance of exploration and adventure.“

During the years on the sea (circumnavigation 2009 - 2015) I had the chance to study so many different cultures, learning their way of living and the luck to make friends with so many different people. I feel it just natural, maybe ineluctable, that my paintings changed from abstract art to human faces.

But sometimes I'm going back to my roots for abstract work. Mainly in elegant black & white, sometimes with colored accents.

I'm a fulltime freelance artist since 2003, you can find my work in galleries (London, Madrid, Melbourne), exhibitions, art fairs and in collections all over the world.
