An en plein air painting of a lovely French village viewed from a distance through the trees. We were staying nearby in a beautiful old stone house which had an open vista across the valley. It was painted in early spring when the trees were bare but the garden was already showing lots of new growth.
There were lots of textures from the gritty ochre coloured gravel to the knotty bark on the trees. The red roofs looked so inviting against the cloudy blueish sky. It was full of wonderful shapes and colours.
