“Lost Horizon” is a 12 x 12 x 1.5 inch original monochromatic impressionist seascape oil painting. Painted with profession oils, including one of my personal favorites – Prussian Blue – on cotton canvas and hand-stretched over a wood frame.
The painting is sealed with a final coat of varnish for protection.
All sides are staple free, painted, and finished making it ready to hang.
Titled, signed and dated on the back.
The Inspiration:
“Lost Horizon” is the epitome of my roots in art and as a painter. I’ve always had a wondering fascination for painting the sky, storms, and intense minimalist cloud/seascapes. Prussian blue, as I mentioned, is a color I am always eager to use in my work (dare I say, it may be my favorite). Its offers a base that never disappoints and always amazes my eye. It is intense, vibrant, and bold yet also dark and a little mysterious.
“My hope is not be seen, but be experienced. With each new piece I share a little part of myself and I look forward to the day it makes an honest, emotional connection with another.” -Meredith B.
