Original artwork description:

This is a very personal painting to me. I was trying to capture desolation and yet, when I showed this painting to family and friends, many saw redemption. Some saw the light from the window as the forgiveness of God. I like that. It gives me hope that we can all learn to forgive ourselves and come into the light, however we choose to interpret that.
