Artwork description:

This artwork has been produced using different layers. Each layer is made using different painting techniques and collage elements which are then put together digitally in order to produce the final artwork and the limited edition run. I used my own photographs, paintings and digital illustrations. The process to produce this artwork has been an extensive one as it is usually with all the artworks in my collection.

This particular artwork was inspired by one of my favourite novels, 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea'. In the novel of Jules Verne there is no such thing as a monster woman hiding in the depths of the ocean, but on my interpretation of the deep sea there is always a monster woman hiding within colourful seaweed and pelican eels - deep sea divers are attracted to find these majestic creatures which no one can see...
