Whilst on holiday in St Ives we drove along the coastal road to Zennor. I have a fantastic book about the life and work of Patrick Heron, one of my favourite artists whose work I admire but I have always wanted to locate the home where he lived for many years. The home is called Eagles Nest and is just outside St Ives in a small village called Zennor. This is the view looking down to Zennor. It was a fairly clear day with a slight haze and low lying cloud above the horizon out to sea. The painting was produced back in my studio and is an oil painting on aluminium, measuring 30cm x 30cm (unframed) I think we did locate Patrick Heron's Eagles Nest but I would love to take a tour of the house and garden where he so inspired to create his garden paintings.
