A chance reflection in a window observed and recorded. This piece excited me as it felt no-one could see what I could see, hence the title 'Looking beyond'
I made the photo into a photopolymer etching which developed the image on further into an interesting observation of backlit architecture and still life in London.
I inked up the plate with a homemixed colour of ultramarine and sepia to give a rich inklike hue. The plate was printed on a Hunterpenrose press onto Somerset paper. I have framed this piece in a black frame which suits the image well.
