Original artwork description:

This picture was drawn over two very hot and humid stormy summer days from the hot spring town of Jiaoxi in Yilan, Taiwan. We we’re staying on the 10th floor and had a great view out over the Lanyang Plains. It was an interesting challenge to try to draw all of the different shaped rice fields, vegetable patches and buildings in their actual places and it was way more detailed than I expected! There were lots of beautiful vibrant colours and tones in this scene that I tried to show. I started this drawing from our balcony but finished it from inside the room looking out the window which was a lot cooler and more comfortable!
