'Look Up Mong Kok', by Richard Heeps, shot on negative in 2016 but executed in his darkroom in March 2019, captures the spirit of walking the streets in Hong Kong, the overwhelming buzz of the competing neon signs above your head. The rainbow neon lights in this picture are so vivid they pop.
This artwork is part of Richard's portfolio of street photography he is building up which depict the colour, fabric and structure of cities with a distinct style.

This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print. Accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography without the need for digital manipulation. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England, and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world, and his work is now part of many international collections.
