The correct title for this painting is 'Look look, a May-mess, Christ and his mother' but again it fell foul of Artfinder's strange need to have titles of no more than 30 characters. Why?
It is an image I went back to again and again, after its first inception in 2005, due to continued dissatisfaction with an idea that just wouldn't go away. It was a very difficult pose for the model (Tanya) to hold, requiring a severe twist to the abdomen.
Painted on wood, so quite heavy.
Spectrum oil paint, knives, sticks, paste medium.
